The File Archive

The front page shows a summary of six specs. This is the full archive behind them — longer entries, an incident log, and nothing that was not already implied by the home page. No new facts about a real person are made anywhere on this page.

The Melt — full entry

The home page dates the melt to a keynote. The archive dates it earlier.

Colleagues describe a slow softening that had already started before the talk: a slight give in the posture during a long standup, a shine at the collar that nobody wanted to be the one to mention. By the time the keynote started, the melt was already a known condition. The keynote is simply the first time it happened in front of an audience with a stage lighting rig good enough to catch it on video.

There is no single recorded moment of onset. The internal joke among those who were in the room is that asking “when did it start” is the wrong question, because butter does not have a start, only a rate.

ARCHIVE 02

The Glasses — full entry

Every account of the melt agrees on one detail: the glasses never moved.

They have been photographed at a consistent angle across every documented sighting, on a face that is otherwise a different shape each time. Nobody has offered a mechanism for this. The leading internal theory is that the glasses are not resting on the face so much as the face is arranged around the glasses, which would make them the one fixed point in an otherwise fully liquid system.

A minority theory holds that the glasses are simply very good glasses. Both theories are listed here because the archive does not adjudicate between them, and neither one is a claim about a real optical product or a real person's eyewear.

ARCHIVE 03

Slippage — incident log

The home page recommends a generous tolerance. The archive explains why, with a short, non-numeric log of past incidents.

Every entry below is retold from memory by people who were standing nearby, not measured by any instrument, and none of it should be read as a technical or financial record of anything. It is kept here because it is the closest thing the brand has to a history.

The photographSUBJECT ARRIVED ON THE FLOOR FIRST
The wallet incidentSMELL UNRESOLVED, AUDIT INCONCLUSIVE
The conference badgeLAMINATE FAILED, LANYARD DID NOT

Official guidance, restated from the home page: do not squeeze. Nothing above is a quantity, a price or a claim about any real market.

Proof of Grease — protocol notes

This entry expands the joke spec on the home page. It still describes no software, no chain and no product.

Proof of Grease works, as a joke, on the premise that a surface too slippery to hold anything is also too slippery to be taken from. Under this fictional model, a “validator” is just whoever is standing closest with a spatula, and “finality” is whatever is left on the plate after everyone has gone home.

The upgrade path is refrigeration, restated here for completeness: cooling the system increases firmness, which the joke spec treats as the closest thing to a hard fork the brand will ever have. None of this describes a real consensus mechanism, a real network or a real software upgrade.

Restated from the home page: this is a joke specification for a parody brand. It is not a technical claim about anything that exists.

ARCHIVE 05

Token Status — questions on file

$BUTTER has not launched. This entry answers the questions the archive receives most, without adding a single figure the home page does not already have.

“Is there a contract address?”NO. NONE EXISTS.
“Is there a chart somewhere?”NO. THERE IS NOTHING TO CHART.
“Can I buy it early?”NO. THERE IS NOTHING TO BUY.
“Where will the real address be posted?”HERE FIRST, IF IT EVER EXISTS.

$BUTTER has not launched. This page adds no market data, no contract address and no holder or liquidity figures beyond what the home page's Token Status section already states. Anything claiming otherwise, anywhere, is not from this project.

Summary version: home page, Spec 05 — Token Status.

ARCHIVE 06

The Mempool — waiting room notes

The mempool, in the brand's own joke terminology, is where everything that has not happened yet is kept: the account, the listing, the token.

Nothing in this room is confirmed, and nothing in this room is being rushed. The archive exists precisely so that the six files can be read in full before any of that changes, and so that when it does change, this page and the home page can be updated in the same pass rather than leaving one of them out of date.

If you found this page from somewhere other than the home page, the home page is the canonical source for anything about $BUTTER's current status, and this archive defers to it.
